Akopan Tepui: Jacuzzis, Canaima National Park (Venezuela)
Venezuela

Akopan (also spelled Acopan) is a giant Tepui (flat-topped plateau with steep drops) that belongs to the massif of Chimanta in Venezuelan state of Bolivar. Composed mainly of sandstone, rises to 2100 meters and has become a major point for climbing in the area. The tepui is a kind of inverted "u" in the middle of which born and descends the Yunek river, which also serves as the way of ascent to the summit without the use of climbing equipment.

Just over 3 km southwest of Camp High or Kai-Vonok (Star, in Pemon language) in the headwaters of the Arauac river is this particular set of small pools of amber water, some of them up to 2 meters deep, which beacause of its size and shape resemble small jacuzzis, where contact with nature is the way of recharging energy.
