Baiturrahman Mosque, Banda Aceh, Sumatra
Indonesia

The Baiturrahman Mosque was originally built in 12 Century and was destroyed by fire in the Aceh war. The present building was constructed by the Dutch in 1879 and was completed in 1881. The Mosque was damaged, but survived the tsunami of December 2004, when an earthquake stuck of the coast of Sumatra.
