Bremerhaven

 

Wikipedia: "Der Richtfunkturm in Bremerhaven ist ein zwischen 1962 und 1965 erbauter, insgesamt 107,3 Meter hoher Stahlbetonturm (die Antennennadel allein ist ca. 33 Meter hoch, ihre Spitze befindet sich 113,6 Meter über NN), der zahlreiche Sende- und Empfangsanlagen für Seefunkzwecke, Pegeldatenfunk, Richtfunkverbindungen zu Radarantennen der Landradarkette der Unter- und Außenweser und Antennen für das AIS-System beherbergt. Darüber hinaus befinden sich weitere Antennen von Bundes- und Landesbehörden auf dem Turm.

Im 7,50 Meter hohen Turmkopf des Richtfunkturms befindet sich in 59 Metern Höhe ein für den Publikumsverkehr zugänglicher Besucherraum, darüber, in 62,5 Metern Höhe, ein Geräteraum. Im Unterschied zu anderen Sendetürmen mit Aussichtsplattformen gehört der Richtfunkturm Bremerhaven nicht der Deutschen Telekom oder einer Rundfunkanstalt, sondern dem Wasser- und Schifffahrtsamt Bremerhaven.

Der Richtfunkturm wird oft auch als Radarturm bezeichnet, er verfügt selber aber über keine Radarantenne."

It forms an enclave in the state of Lower Saxony and is located at the mouth of the River Weser on its eastern bank, opposite the town of Nordenham.
