Drama is the capital of the prefecture of eastern Macedonia. This city with a long history, as the area was inhabited in prehistoric times. The etymology of the word derives from "hydra" - "Dyrama" because of the abundance of water gushing in. In the center of the city there is a small paradise, full of waters and trees. Its like an oasis in the middle of downtown.
