Elephant Tower
Sardinia

The Elephant Tower was designed by architect John Capula in the fourteenth century. With its thirty meter high, was a bulwark of defense and access to the old city of Cagliari (Castle) as the almost identical San Pancrazio Tower. I has three sides closed and a quarter open with four floors and wooden lofts. The name is probably due to the small sculpture of an elephant placed on a shelf ten meter high from the street. From the tower you can enjoy one of the best views of the center of Cagliari.
