This building is the central government office for West Java province. Governor and Vice Governor and also their staffs and beaurau are located in this very building.

This building was built together on 1920 by a young architect from Enginering Faculty of  Delft University Nederland, Ir. J. Gerber, Ir. Eh. De Roo, Ir. G. Hendriks, and by Gemeente van Bandoeng which was held by Kol. Pur. VL. Slors.

The laying of the first stone was held at July 27th 1920 by Johanna Catherina Coops, daughter of Bandung Mayers at the time, B Coops. The construction process took about 4 years, involving 2000 workers with 150 of them are carver with China nationality which came from Canton.
