In 2014, the campus of the Silesian University of Technology was renovated, so it completely changed the face.

Nowadays there is a beautiful promenade along the main street of the Campus (Akademicka Street) full of greenery, a bicycle route and a square with a fountain. There are also parking lots equipped with license plate recognition system at the entrance.

The new lighting is also very interesting. Lighting system along the Akademicka Street is a part of the "Light Route" of Gliwice, leading from Piłsudski Square to the campus and then to the future Gliwice Sports Hall, which is now under construction and will be located nearby the university.
