Panorama of hay bale sculptures along the Hamilton Highway in Tarrington, Victoria, Australia. Founded in 1853 by Lutheran migrants as Hochkirch, the small town changed its name to Tarrington in 1916 due to WW1. The strong German heritage remains and the town celebrates the lantern fest in November each year to honour St Martin. In addition to the many lanterns that decorate the streets, residents adorn the road sides with X-mas and non X-mas themed hay bale sculptures.

Victoria is located in the southeast of mainland Australia and includes the most southern point on mainland Australia at Wilsons Promontory National Park.
