Kanonkop In Montagu
Greater Cape Town
Kanonkop (translatable as "Cannon head"), is a hill outside Montagu from where you can see the town. The little white building used to be the magazine for the town. It gets its name from the fact that there used to be canon emplacements on the hill at one stage. Currently an old ship's cannon can be seen on the hill. The good-looking old gentleman is my Dad. He travelled all over with me while doing what I do and patiently waited for me while taking pictures. He also gave me a lot of insight into the places and people of Montagu, since he grew up there.
