Kościoła Jana Chrzciciela w Orawce

Church. John the Baptist - built in the mid-seventeenth century is the church nave, carcass construction, covered with shingles, with a distinctive tower. Inside, covered with very valuable murals of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries on the western wall of the church bear the various coats of arms, among others Empire, mayors Orava. Rood beam was placed on the beautiful baroque Group Crucifixion. Valuable features of the church dates from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries worth noting: the late Gothic sculpture of Christ the Man of Sorrows (stored in the sacristy), a Gothic monstrance, baroque tin of wafers and cups (Gothic and Baroque). The church organ dates back to 1670 years.


In 1728 a chapel was added to the church of Our Lady of Sorrows.
