Cambusnethan House - Looking East
Scotland

Cambusnethan House, known locally as Cambusnethan Priory, is located in the Clyde Valley, 1¼ miles southwest of Wishaw.

The "Priory" was built in 1819 to the designs of architect James Graham (1776 - 1855) and is said to be one of his finest works.

Cambusnethan House is a large Gothic mansion, created in a monastic style for Robert Lockhart of Castlehill.

Like many other Lanarkshire landmarks, Cambusnethan House now lies derelict, burned out and vandalised.
