I stood on the summit of 13,552' Mount Carillon on a day hike on 10/17/2015. A spectacular climb, this day involved minimal time on trail, substantial time on an established route as well as mixed climbing through snow chutes, class 3 rock, and intelligent decisions to scrap the initial idea of a summit of Mt. Russell due to the ridge being covered in snow and ice. It was still one of the more memorable days in the mountains I've had.
