Perm Krai. Ilyinsky village. Blagoveshchenskaya Church. (2)
Russia
The wooden church in the name of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Ilyinskoye was built in 1839 as an Old Believer church. It was built with funds from merchants Epifan and Vasily Ponosov. Epifan Vasilyevich was a prominent figure in the village of Ilyinskoye. The built church was one of the best Old Believer churches in the area, especially according to its internal decision. The grave of the Ilyinsky merchant and honorary citizen is still preserved near the church building. By 1936, the Old Believer community of the Annunciation Parish had disintegrated. In the middle of the 20th century, the Annunciation Church was re-consecrated as Orthodox and to this day remains the main operating Orthodox church of the Ilyinsky Parish.
