Near the city of Ica in southern Peru, the coastal desert takes the form of majestic golden sand dunes. Lost in the sand, South America's only oasis is like a big green dot, the only spot of life in this unique landscape. I shot this panorama in late morning during my exploration of the dunes, under a pretty sunny blue sky.
