Rock-n-Popmuseum, Gronau
Muensterland-Baumberge

On 21 July 2004 opened rock'n'popmuseum in Gronau. It is unique in Europe for this genre of music history. The museum is located in the former boiler Hall of Fa M. van Delden.


The permanent exhibition focuses essentially on the musical history of the last century. The chronology of this history is embedded in a thematic framework that represents the black music and electronic music. A Knowledge illuminates the background of the exhibits. Here the youth culture, music and contemporary dimension to the exhibits and networking, among others, Marlene Dietrich, Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones or Rammstein.

Besides the permanent exhibition, the museum presents exhibitions devoted to specific themes from the diverse repertoire a century of pop music history. Of our philosophy, of course, also include musical performances, educational programs and intensive cooperation with schools.

The Münsterland is a region in northern North Rhine-Westphalia and in the northwestern with the city of Münster as a  Westphalia center.
