Plasencia, municipio y ciudad española, situada en el norte de la provincia de Cáceres, una de las dos provincias de Extremadura. Se encuentra ubicado en el extremo sur del valle del río Jerte y en la comarca del mismo nombre, en las estribaciones occidentales del Sistema Central.
