Kainourgio Horio is a small and very old settlement. It is a rural village, the inhabitants, mostly older, with the cultivation of the vine, the krasampelou, cereal cultivation and animal husbandry. From documents found by the period of Venetian rule, the village has a rich history over the wine and krasampelo. The area was making too much good quality wine. Today main occupation of the inhabitants is viticulture and olive growing the economy without relying on wine and oil.
