You find this statue in Adelgade, the pedestain street in Ebeltoft. "Lodvig" was the pharmacist's apprentice in the beginning of 1900. He fancied the mayor's servant, Katrine. But one day when Lodvig sneak into her room the mayor cought them and put them on trail for unmoral behavior. During the trail the young couple and the mayor became the talk of the town - and thoughout the entire country due to a song written about them. The trial ended with a conditional sentence for both.
