The church of St Mawgan at Mawgan-in-Pydor was built in the 13th century and added to in the 15th. It was restored by William Butterfield in the 1850s. The rood screen dates from the 15th century, as do some of the bench ends. The font is probably 12th century. It has a circular bowl on central shaft with four outer shafts in marble, the bowl has a chevron rim and four faces with shields.
