The imperial seal of the Song Dynasty
Guangdong Province

In 1279, the Song Dynasty fought a large-scale naval battle with the Mongols in Yashan, and the entire Song army was destroyed at the end of the war. When the Southern Song Dynasty destroyed the kingdom, the prime minister Lu Xiufu threw himself into the sea carrying the eight-year-old young emperor Zhao Bing. The seal of the Emperor of the Song Dynasty also sank into the sea.
