View of ss. Johns’ cathedral from the south
Poland

SS. Johns' church with its imposing hall and bell tower dominate the skyline of the Old Town no matter what vantage point you take. The church used to dominate over the town in a symbolic and mental sense. Today, surrounded by a different, contemporary reality, it continues to function in the modern urban space not only as a church but also as a masterpiece of architecture and art, a monument, kind of museum and venue of organ concerts.
