Known as the "Grand Canyon of the Mojave", Afton Canyon is located in the remote desert near Baker, California. The Mojave River flows through here, being a trickle this time of year. Impressive slot canyons, badlands, cliffs, & historical artifacts are found throughout the region. This view from atop the hill shows some of the spectacular erosional scenery.
