Jeder Schritt ohne Schneeschuhe ist anstrengend, aber der erhoffte Blick aufs Sonntagshorn, dem höchsten Berg der Chiemgauer Alpen, treibt uns weiter.
Im Tal ist der Winter schon vorbei, und um diese Zeit recht früh im Jahr ist der Pfad oberhalb von Unken hinauf zum Peitingköpfl weiterhin tief verschneit, weiter unten sind Forststraße und Pfade teilweise sogar von durch Sturm und Schneelast umgestürtzten Bäumen versperrt.
