Actualmente se sigue dando uso. Inaugurada el 5 de julio de 1914, la plaza cuenta en la actualidad con un aforo de unos 8.500 espectadores repartidos entre la barrera, gradas y andanadas. De propiedad privada, se ha llegado a un acuerdo con el ayuntamiento para la celebración de actos culturales, eventos deportivos y conciertos a lo largo de todo el año
