Most important cultural center of the city, called "the heart of the culture." The building today is the Museum and House of Culture José de Dome. It has been orphanage, at a time when children were abandoned with some frequency, there was a wheel where these babies were placed and removed on the other side, where they received shelter, food and education. Also served under during World War II. Built in 1837, it got its name Charitas (pronounced Caritas) or House of Charity and is today, a place with permanent cultural activities.
