胡氏家井：
在尚书府梅林亭旁，有个偌大的深渊，沿石阶斜向步下，即可抵达圆形外水池处，沿着外水池上凌空架设的一条石板行去，则可步向圆池中间的方形内水池边，这便是尚书府里的胡氏家井。这不是一般的水池，而是“水井与水池的组合体”。中间的方形水池即为汲取饮水用的水井，而外边圆形水池即为汲取浆洗衣衫、菜蔬用水的水池。那斜向函底水中的一长竖石阶，与那一短横伸向水井的石板正好交叉成“十”字，再与中间的方井结合成“古”字；而外边的圆池又暗合了“圆月”的月，于是“古”、“月”连成“胡”字。可谓名副其实的“胡氏家井”。
