从善堂：
正厅——从善堂，是“通转楼”结构。均为木质构架建筑，下有厅，上有楼，建筑上叫作“六部通转楼”。即左右两边各有三间，共六间，楼上同此。上下楼梯相接，围绕天井而通转。以天井两旁阁厢、厢廊连通上下对堂而名。楼下上堂比下堂高出三四寸，楼上高三四尺。中间天井，天井一是通风采光，二为聚财，三为除夕家人接拜天地，赐福其家。上下堂结构寓意：人口环堂、家道昌盛。
楼柱上雀替狮子共有九只，寓意“九世（狮）同堂”，出于唐代张公艺九世同堂典故。窗栏板木雕——左边是刘备《兵救徐州》，右边是仿王羲之《诗人盛会》，二窗比喻“文武双全”。“江淮保障”、“善盖一乡”都是村人送给胡宗宪及后人的功德匾。门廊上的“光禄第”则因胡宗宪有“光禄大夫上柱国兼太子太保”官衔而设。
下堂仪门上匾额：“青宫锡福”，青宫，出自“奕世尚书”坊上胡宗宪的“青宫太保”坊赞。锡，是皇帝赐给功高位显大臣九件物品的荣耀，有徽戏名《九锡宫》为佐。
