养心阁：
鹿鸣轩后为养心阁，两道飞檐，三面美人靠，显得玲珑精致。阁置于池上，为仿水榭做法。这里池代表大海，池对面有鱼亭，亭下有一面桥洞，表示胡宗宪抗倭胜利，保住了明朝东南半壁江山。胡宗宪还是将钓鱼岛规划中国版图第一人，在其编纂的《筹海图编》（公元1562年）中标明中国福建罗源县沿海各岛，其中就有“钓鱼岛、黄尾屿、赤屿”等岛屿。
闺秀楼：
养心阁斜对面挂着三只大红灯笼的阁楼即为闺秀楼。闺秀房内为三格亮轩结构。中轩前有美人靠，窗栏板雕刻的是“渔樵耕读”，寓意中国历史上有名人物。渔——汉光武帝时隐士严子陵。樵——西汉名宦朱买臣，五十岁前打柴，也有说是神仙刘海。耕——是舜帝，他曾躬耕与历山。读——“六国拜相”的苏秦。后壁雀替，左图为“天官赐福”，右为“蟾宫折桂”。后壁壁挂，左边三只金钱豹，上空有喜鹊欢叫，意为“三元报喜”，右图为马、喜鹊、鹿、麒麟，意为“马上有喜、鹿在堂中、麒麟献瑞”。总的意思是女儿出嫁，早产麒儿，科考及第，官禄（鹿）终（中）身。------。
