The sun rises from sea over the old town escalades that link the houses on top of the promontory down to the sea. The street takes its name from the saint Leonardo da Porto Maurizio, a friar that lived in povery in the XVII century, who was born just here (his house, now a church, is the one down the street painted in white-gray stripes).
