十八盘口：
此处为十八盘新盘口。明万历年间，参政吕坤跨涧建渡天桥，并顺龙峪上源修新盘道，直达碧霞祠南神门，登岱顶者上下甚为方便。
十八盘在对松山北，始于开山，止于南天门，为清乾隆末年改建盘道时所辟。开山北有龙门，旧有龙门坊，后毁。西岩有道光年间魏祥摩狂草“龍門”大字尚存。坊址东为大龙峪，雨季众水归峡，飞泉若泻。
新盘口北两山陡立，东为飞龙岩，西为翔凤岭，中有一线天，名石壁谷。谷中上有南天门，下有升仙坊，由十八盘相连。南天门恰处于谷口，是泰山古建筑充分利用地理环境，以人工之力突出美化自然环境的典范，是泰山的重要标志之一。仰视天门，盘路陡绝，似云梯倒挂。石壁谷两侧有“天門長嘯”、“層崖空谷”、“天門雲梯”、“如登天際”诸刻。
