This view was taken from the top a of geological feature called "The Elephants Hide", a 45° slab of sandstone rock, that resembles its name.
The view is across the Mount Victory road to Mount McIver. The photo was taken just below the summit of Mackeys Peak, 488m ASL.
The photo was taken in the Grampians National Park, nearby is the township of Halls Gap, the main camping, accomodation facility in the Park.
There is a multitude of walks, scenic views, scenic drives that can be taken from Halls Gap, as well as restuarants, food and fuel.
Halls Gap is the perfect place to get up close to Kangaroos, Wallabies and Koalas.
A very popular place for Victorians to come to, it can be very crowded in the summer months.
