Hier sehen Sie die Breguet Atlantic BR1150 SIGINT mit der Kennung 61+06 seit dem 21. Oktober 2009 als "Gate Guard" stehend vor dem Marinefliegerstützpunkt Nordholz.
Die BREGUET ATLANTIC, auch BR 1150, ist ein Langstrecken-Seeaufklärer (Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA)), der multinational entwickelt wurde. Das Flugzeug wird für Patrouillenflüge sowie zur U-Jagd eingesetzt. Bei der Breguet Atlantic handelt es sich weltweit um das einzige Flugzeug, das von Anfang an ausschließlich für dieses Aufgabenspektrum gebaut wurde, während andere Seeaufklärer im Regelfall auf Basis ziviler Flugzeuge entwickelt werden. Die BR 1150 sind bei der Bundeswehr zwischenzeitlich ausgemustert, werden aber in anderen Ländern noch weiter betrieben. Neben der Version für die MPA-Aufgabe, gab es in der Bundeswehr noch die Ausrüstungsvariante BR 1150 M für SIGINT Aufklärung.
Die letzte der BR 1150 M (61+03) absolvierte ihren letzten Flug am 20. Juni 2010 und beendete damit eine mehr als 40-jährige Ära in der Deutschen Marine.
Die 61+02 wurde bereits 1992 ausgemustert, die 61+18 Mitte März 2005 nach der Ausmusterung in Erding beim LwInsthRgt 1 verschrottet, die 61+19 wurde am 15. Dezember 2006 zum Flugplatz Peenemünde für das dortige Museum überführt und die 61+06 dient seit dem 21. Oktober 2009 als "Gate Guard" in Nordholz.
