Getting a little too close to the edge to shoot a panorama of High Force in Teesdale. One of England's biggest waterfalls* occurs where the River Tees spills over the edge of a band of hard Whin Sill rock, cascading into a deep plunge pool over twenty metres below.
Unfortunately when we arrived the gloom had descended and a few unwelcome spots of rain were starting to make their presence known, so I had to shoot this rather hurredly. Next time I'll try the opposite bank, at a lower position, for a different perspective.*A subject of much debate: although High Force is much celebrated as one of England's largest waterfalls, others are higher.
