The Krakowski Square (Plac Krakowski) is situated nearby the campus of the Silesian University of Technology (Politechnika Śląska). It's a place of recreation for students and inhabitants of the city, and there are also organized many cultural events (concerts, meetings) and ceremonies (for example the Day of Europe, state holidays).
