The Grimsel Pass connects the Hasli Valley in the Bernese Oberland with Goms in Valais. This exciting mountain road zigzags from Meiringen to Gletsch with its highest point at 2164 m at Grimsel. The road passes through a wild mountainous region with spectacular views marked by granite rocks, several reservoir lakes, glaciers and energy dams. The Grimsel Pass, popular with motorcycle lovers, is generally only open between May and October.
