查济祠堂-活化石:
查济祠堂集物质、精神于一体。它是封建宗法制度的载体,是族权自治的象征。在这天高皇帝远的査氏山村,祠堂被赋予众多社会管理功能:祠堂提供了祭祀祖先、隆礼报本的平台,每年在祠堂进行的冬春二祭,以腊月二十四冬祭为隆重,大祭结束后,由族长训话并报告本族这一年中大事及本年度收支情况,最后是全族人大会餐,称之为“族食”、“分胙”,通过祭祖等活动有力地凝聚了族人的意志。祠堂商议处理本族大事、管理宗族财产,族长、族中长辈及乡绅构成宗族的最高权力层,祠堂大厅摆放的八把又高又大的椅子就是给他们坐的,一般人不能犯上坐上去,权力层在祠堂决定赈济、兴学、修桥筑路、重大庆典、处理与外族纠纷,一旦做出决定,全族即坚决执行。查济祠堂立足于此,建立了“义赈”、“义学”、“义葬”的“三义”制度。通过祠堂建立道德教化体系,订立祠规祖训约束族人,惩办违规者,在一定程度上,维护了社会的稳定。
祠堂是查济人文思想的高度物化,是原始的生活本真的活化石。
