Located at the entry of Kaohsiung Harbor Port II, the Hongmaogang Cultural Park was built in 2007 based on a concept that took into account the port's surroundings and the Gaozi Tower. With a total area of 3.42 hectares, the park includes the Gaozi Tower's Revolving Restaurant, Exhibition Hall, Outdoor Display Area, Skywalk, the pier waiting room, and sea viewing platform. The exhibition depicts Hongmaogang's 400 year history and the arrival of the Dutch in Taiwan. The development of the Kaohsiung Harbor has a one hundred year history.
