Kitchen - KINOKUNIYA - Old Japanese inn (Kosai City)

 Kinokuniya is official's inn of Kishu (Wakayama) feudal clan which The inn town of Arai had. Trip basket (hatago: inn) of 20 several linked the eaves along Tokaido in The inn town of Arai which was over Sekisyo in the Edo era.

 Founding of Kinokuniya does not become clear, but the master is from Kishu, and it is said to be opening we move to Arai early in the Edo era, and to have run teahouse. For approximately 250 years, we ran the hotel business until we discontinued our business in postwar period of the Showa era. It became official's inn of Tokugawa three branch families of the Tokugawa house Kishu feudal clan in (1703) in 1703 when was in the middle of the Edo era and advocated name of "Kinokuniya" afterwards.

 Building is the rebuilding of the Meiji beginning, but color is dark and leaves architecture of Edo period and we repair the dismantling and release to at every turn on (2001) as facility which can sense taste at the time bodily in 2001.
