Portland's Lan Su Chinese garden, located in the heart of downtown Portland, is a calming retreat from the busy city.  It is a classical Chinese Garden, surounded by a wall to keep out not just the city noise but also the evil spirits.  Throughout the garden, the paths are uneven and not straight.  This prevents evil spirits from following people around the garden.
