The Lerchenauer lake in the district of the same name, at the Lassallestr has around 7.9 hectares, a volume of 38,200 m3, an average depth of 4.6 meters and a maximum depth of 7.9 m. It was redesigned in 1967 according to plans of the landscape architect Alfred Reich, 1974, the action has been completed. It needs 86 days for the water renewal. It can accommodate up to 8,000 people rest. In the swimming season from early May to late September, the water rescue is busy on weekends and holidays.
