Lamoille Canyon is one of several glacially carved canyons in the Ruby Mountains of Nevada, situated in the basin and range region of the western United States.  Reaching altitudes above 11,000 feet, the range captures significant precipitation creating a cool green oasis above the surrounding desert.

Liberty Pass sits at the head of Lamoille Canyon above Lamoille Lake to the north and Liberty Lake to the south.
