Montanchez nocturnal
Extremadura

Saw Montánchez is crowned by the Monte Viejo (Montancil or Monte Tancer) to 998 meters, and there is suspicion that comes the name of the town, which sits on a hill on two sides (Tajo and Guadiana) and defended by a castle on the west, at elevation 713. The mountain is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and zahurdones Razorfen, which clarifies our basic industries: wine, oil and especially the curing of hams and the results are spectacular.

Montanchega history dates back to unknown sources, there are remains of all times remain in the Bronze Age when you begin to define the population scattered in the flocks that were located near inexhaustible. The zahurdones with false dome construction are dwellings whose tradition comes from the great megalithic tombs and have continued to build until recent times of our grandparents. In one of them who are in a very close Montancil nava can see recorded a syllabic signs on the Iberian-tartésicos Toza inside a niche.
