Nebida, Sardinia
Sardinia

A breathtaking sight over the whole Lion Gulf from Nebida's Belvedere walkway.

Like stones thrown into the sea, the small islands of S'Agusteri, Il Morto and the gorgeous Pan di Zucchero, a white limestone block measuring 133 meters in height.

In 19th century this path was a railway for mineral transportation. Whole Sardinia itself, but particularily this south-west area, has been a mineral district of huge importance and activity (coal, silver, lead, zinc, iron). The land is disseminated of 19th century abandoned mines and laveries, that undoubtedly deserve a large and deep photographic documentation.
