Mt. Oddie (6650'/2027) summit
Nevada

View from the summit of Mt. Oddie (elev. 6,650'), a landmark mountain that overlooks all of Tonopah, Nevada, a silver mining town nestled in the small hills of the San Antonio Mountains.  Here one can see the high points of Mount Butler & Brock Mountain across the way, as well as Highway 95 going out into the large alluvial valley.  The Tonopah Mining Park lies below as well as the Glory Hole.  In the distance one can also see the snowy Sierra Nevada in California.  I had to wait an hour to get an additional adaptor to my car, so I took advantage & hiked up the hill, to which a rocky ATV trail leads all the way up to the antennas & radomes.
