Old Fort Utah was the name of the original Mormon settlement spot at the eastern end of the Salt River Valley now part of Mesa, Arizona. This area of Mesa is called Lehi presently and once was a separate settlement. The first pioneers came to the site of Lehi in 1877. In addition to Old Fort Utah, the settlement was also called Jonesville after Daniel W. Jones, the leader of the pioneers.
