Der Watzmann (Mittelspitze) ist der höchste Berg der Berchtesgadener Alpen und der höchste Berg Deutschlands, der komplett auf deutschem Staatsgebiet steht. Von seinem Gipfel aus hat man an einem schönen Tag im Spätherbst einen atemberaubenden Ausblick. Zum einen die vielen Berge der Umgebung und zum anderen natürlich der faszinierende Einblick in die berühmte Ostwand (wer genau hinsieht kann die kleine orange Biwakschachtel erkennen). Und wenn man nicht gerade über einem Wolkenmeer steht, kann man von der Mittelspitze aus den Königssee sehen. Die Boote, die die Massen von Touristen nach St. Bartholomä bringen sehen von hier oben wie kleine Ameisen aus. Und jedes mal wenn ich hier oben stehe bin ich dankbar dafür, dass ich zu den Menschen gehören darf, die diese Aussicht geniessen können und nicht nur die Sicht vom See aus nach oben.
