Looking out towards center you can see the Alabama Hills, home to some of the most famous rocks in movie-making history. Just past the Alabama Hills you will find the town of Lone Pine. Off to the right is the Owens Dry Lake bed, behind you is Whitney Portal and Mount Whitney Trailhead.
