Combining the HSR Zuoying Station, the New Zuoying Station, and the KMRT R16 Zuoying Station, the Zuoying Joint Station is located in the southern part of Banpingshan. It connects on the west with the redrawn roads of Haiguang 2nd Village and Cueihua Rd, and it sits right beside the newly opened Gaotie Road on the east; it touches the Dajhong Viaduct on the south. The Station is the most significant public transit hub in north Kaohsiung.

The main concept for the station is a huge wavy surface, with a streamlined style. It reflects the characteristics of the natural sceneries of both Banpingshan and Lianchihtan, while strengthening the affinity that visitors feel towards the station. Drawing the natural sceneries of Banpingshan into the interior space of the station, it gives travelers the most open vista.
