This is Rákóczi Stairs in sunset hues. The passage is the work of master architect Pál Soós, who made the stairs among other significant buildings throughout the town at the turn of the 20th century. It provides a splendid sunset scene with climbing plants lining its sides. The decorative pixel art and graffitis however are much later additions.
It is named in honour of Ferenc Rákóczi II, prince (fejedelem) of the Kingdom of Hungary and Transylvania and leader of the Hungarian uprising against the Habsburg Empire in the 18th century.
