RBWM Blue Plaque for Arthur Christopher Benson (24 April 1862 – 17 June 1925)
England
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have placed blue commemorative plaques around the borough. This one on Godolphin House, Eton College, commemorates the life and works of Arthur Christopher Benson, English essayist, poet, author and academic. Arthur taught at Eton College from 1885 to 1903, and is best remembered as the writer of the patriotic song "Land of Hope and Glory". The plaque was unveiled 7 November 2006.
